Student Parking on Campus

Student parking options are designed to support reliable access to campus whileÌýmaintainingÌýsafe and efficient parking operations across 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.Ìý

Parking availability,ÌýpermitÌýoptionsÌýand eligibility vary based on student classification.Ìý

Undergraduate parking permits are available to eligible sophomores,ÌýjuniorsÌýand seniors; first-year undergraduate students are not eligible for campus parking.ÌýÌý

Graduate and professional students may choose between two parking permit options: annual and daily.ÌýÌý

Undergraduate Permits

Parking permits are available to eligible undergraduate students, including sophomores, juniors and seniors.Ìý

Sophomores may purchase permits in designated undergraduate parking areas, subject to availability.Ìý

Reserved parking options are also available in select campus garages.Ìý

Undergraduate Student Permit Timeline

  • Student permit sales open July 31, 2026Ìý
  • All permit purchases must be completed by August 7, 2026Ìý
  • The cost for the undergraduate permit is $296 per semester

Students may obtain a parking permit by logging in with theirÌýVUnetIDÌýand password during the permit purchase period.

Semester Parking

  • Available to eligible upper-division students on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Provides access to designated undergraduate parking zones for the fall semesterÌý
  • Fall semester permits are billed to student accounts and will be on September bill
  • Spring semester permit information will be distributed in DecemberÌý

Reserved parking Ìý

  • Limited availability in select campus garages (Kensington Place and Kissam Center)
  • Offered on a first-come, first-served basisÌý

Graduate & Professional Student Permits

Graduate and professional students may choose between annual and daily parking options based on their commuting needs.

Permit selection and purchase will occur during the student permit purchase period.

Daily Parking

Daily parking provides flexibility for graduate and professional students who do not need to park on campus every day.Ìý

The cost for daily parking is $3.50/ day.

Annual Parking

Annual parking provides consistent campus access for students who regularly commute to campus. Parking availability and assignments are based on permit type and availability.Ìý

The cost for the graduate student permit is $576/y.
