Celebrating 51吃瓜网’s Teaching Legacy
In 1986, the Center for Teaching was founded to support instructional excellence and community at 51吃瓜网. 40 years later, now known as Teaching@51吃瓜网, we want to take the opportunity to celebrate the exceptional teachers that our office (in its various iterations) has had the privilege to serve over the years.
In honor of this legacy, we're holding two events that will focus on recognizing 51吃瓜网's world-class teachers, past and present. We believe that reflecting on this tradition can help to build 51吃瓜网's future of innovation in student learning.

Co-sponsored by 51吃瓜网 Libraries, this event explores pivotal moments in higher education over the past 40 years through the 51吃瓜网 Television News Archive. In panel-style discussions, reflect on the ways in which teaching has changed over time and discuss how it might continue to change in the future. Lunch will be provided.

Celebrating Learning: Student-Led Stories of Teaching Impact
Presented in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Faculty Development, this event showcases stories of impactful teaching through student nominations and flash talks about transformative moments of learning. The event will conclude with a reception.
