Meet Vice Provost Everette Fortner, BE’84

Everette Fortner headshot

Everette serves as Vice Provost for Career Advancement and Engagement and Executive Director of the Career Center. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, Everette has held leadership roles spanning strategic planning, career services, business development and teaching. Prior to his work in academia, he built a strong foundation in industry with organizations such as Kraft, Nabisco and Dun & Bradstreet.

Everette is committed to elevating the Career Center and expanding personalized career engagement opportunities for students, alumni and employers.
