| Full Description | 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s School of Nursing (VUSN) is pleased to announce an opening for two Postdoctoral Fellows in the area of oncology nursing under Dr. Eun-Ok Im. This full-time position will provide a mentored training experience in cancer survivorship research and intervention development/implementation as part of preparation for an academic position. Training opportunities will be related to cancer survivorship experience, breast cancer, pain management, and technology-based approaches for symptom/pain management. Activities will include day-to-day oversight of research study activities, preparing research study protocols and materials, grant writing, assisting with data collection and analysis, disseminating research findings, developing scientific manuscripts as lead author or co-author, presenting research findings at conferences, and performing other related duties. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team member are essential. OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM Postdoctoral fellows have access to exceptional resources to conduct their own research, including multiple opportunities to publish and assistance with grant-writing or project planning for the next stage of their research careers. During the fellowship, fellows receive individualized mentoring and training to develop the skills and competencies needed to become successful independent investigators in their fields. Required Qualifications and Appointment Terms: Applicants must hold a terminal degree (e.g., PhD) in nursing. The position is a full-time postdoctoral appointment with an in-person/hybrid work schedule based at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø School of Nursing. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of a second year contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
