Brightspace Content is Getting Upgraded
Beginning with the Fall 2027 semester, Brightspace courses will begin using the New Content Experience by default. Additionally, Instructors now have the ability to enable or disable the New Content Experience in their own courses ahead of the change in Fall 2027. Virtual Classroom is already active and available in Brightspace courses. For your convenience, you can add it to your Navbar. It will聽not聽be visible to your students however.
Please note: Recorded Virtual Classroom meetings are available only within the course they were created, cannot be downloaded or edited, and are retained for only 14 days. If you would like to retain recordings of these meetings for longer periods, please consider using聽Kaltura Capture聽to record your Virtual Classroom meetings.
Adding Virtual Classroom to your Navbar
STEP 1:聽In a course, click the聽three dot icon聽to the far right in the NavBar.聽 Then, click聽Edit This Navbar. (Or you can go to Course Admin, then click on Navigation and Themes to create a copy of your NavBar to edit)
STEP 2:聽If the following box appears, click聽Yes, I鈥檒l work with a copy of the navbar.
STEP 3:聽In the Edit Navbar area, click the聽Add Links听产耻迟迟辞苍.
STEP 4:聽In the window that appears,聽1)聽type 鈥�Virtual Classroom鈥� into the search box and hit聽Enter聽on your keyboard.聽聽2)聽Select the聽Virtual Classroom聽(not the one with 鈥淣B鈥� in the name) and聽3)听肠濒颈肠办听Add.
STEP 5:聽You will now see the Virtual Classroom link appear in your Navbar links list.聽 Click聽Save and Close.
